Dr Boris Ilg, M.D.
Dr. Ilg has been practicing in Anderson for 21 years as a general ophthalmologist and has performed thousands of procedures. He performs small incision catarct surgery with advanced technology IOLs and manages general eye health in adults and children. He performs exams for glasses as well as dry eyes, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and other ocular illnesses. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University in 1992. He completed his doctorate in medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, in 1996. His internship and residency were completed at the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2000. He is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Fraternity. Dr. Ilg is fluent in English and German. Aside from patient care, his other interests include travel, antiques, fishing, and gardening.
